Before We Build Your Bar
-
Absolutely. Every wainscot bar is custom built, so you're not limited to the colors shown in the photos. Choose your own paint colors, stained wood accents, or a combination of both to create a bar that fits your basement, home, and personal style.
-
Our standard bars include a stained and finished Southern Yellow Pine tabletop, with several upgrade options available. Choose from butcher block, live edge black walnut, or a one-of-a-kind black walnut epoxy river tabletop. Tabletop styles are interchangeable with our different bar base designs, allowing you to create the combination you like best.
-
Your bar is built specifically for your available space and seating needs. As a general rule, plan for approximately 2 feet of bar space per seated person. During the design process, we'll work together to determine the size and layout that makes the most sense for your room while maintaining comfortable seating and walking space.
-
Yes! Our basement bars are designed and built in separate sections specifically to make basement access easier. Once inside, the sections are assembled and the seams are covered with finished trim, creating the appearance of one continuous bar. This also allows your bar to be disassembled and moved if you ever relocate.
-
Yes! Klarna financing is available upon request. Because each bar is custom-built for your space, we’ll first discuss your project, finalize the design and pricing, and complete any necessary agreements. Once everything is approved, I can provide a private checkout link where Klarna can be selected as a payment option.
-
There are plenty of ways to make your custom bar your own. Popular upgrades include black iron pipe footrails, LED lighting beneath the outer tabletop, interior cabinet lighting, pop-up electrical outlets, purse hooks, mounted bottle openers, upgraded tabletops, and other custom features. If you have something different in mind, just ask—we can discuss incorporating it into your build.
-
Yes. Delivery and professional installation are available and priced based on the distance from our shop. Your bar is delivered in finished sections, brought into your space, assembled, and trimmed out on site. Most installations can be completed in approximately 2–3 hours, so there's no need to turn your home into a construction zone for weeks.
Let’s Build Something Great Together
Start with a Free Phone Consultation
Tell me a little about what you're looking to build using the form below. Once I have an idea of your project, we'll start with a phone conversation to discuss your design, sizing, options, and pricing.
For most projects, I can determine about 90% of the sizing and pricing right over the phone, so you'll have a very good idea of what to expect before an in-person visit is ever needed.
Not sure what size bar you need? No problem. Tell me how many people you'd like to seat and we'll figure it out together. As a general rule, plan for approximately 2 feet of bar space per person.
Need an In-Home Consultation?
Most projects can be planned and priced almost entirely over the phone. For custom bars, knowing your approximate dimensions—or simply how many people you'd like to seat—is usually enough for me to determine the appropriate size, discuss your design and options, and provide clear project pricing upfront.
My goal is to work through the details and pricing with you before moving forward, so there are no surprises at the end of your project.
If your project requires an in-person visit, we can schedule an in-home consultation for $150. I'll come to your home or business to confirm measurements, review the space, discuss layout and design details, and make sure everything we've planned will work before your project is finalized.
If you place your order, the $150 consultation fee is credited toward your project.
